George Skinner, APMA®

Focus

George approaches financial planning as an extension of a lifelong commitment to serving others. He takes time to understand what matters to each client, explain financial choices in straightforward terms, and help people make informed decisions that reflect their families, priorities, and plans for the future.

That commitment to service has shaped much of George’s life. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 2019, he commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps and was selected for flight school. His military career changed direction when a medical situation led to his retirement as a Captain in 2024. Navigating an unexpected change in his own plans strengthened his appreciation for adaptability, perseverance, and thoughtful decision-making when life moves in a different direction.

Today, George values the relationships that develop through his work as a financial advisor. He enjoys educating clients, learning about the people and responsibilities behind their financial decisions, and being someone they can turn to as questions and circumstances evolve. His goal is to make financial conversations personal and understandable while treating each client and family with genuine care.

Outside the Office

Faith, family, and service are central to George’s life. He and his wife, Alli, have been married since 2020 and are raising two daughters, Livy and Collins. Some of their favorite time together is spent visiting the zoo, playing games, seeing extended family, and participating in events at Lexington Baptist Church. George is also active in his church and looks for opportunities to serve in his community.

Born in Columbia, South Carolina, George spent his childhood in several communities across North and South Carolina, though Hampton has long felt like home. With much of his extended family in Beaufort, the Lowcountry continues to hold an important place in his family’s life.

Away from work, George enjoys woodworking, hunting, fishing, and following Navy athletics, the South Carolina Gamecocks, and U.S. Soccer. Above all, he values time with Alli, their daughters, and extended family.
